On June 4th at Connor Middle School, 16 middle schoolers, 15 high school youth mentors and 4 adults participated in the Amazing Race (Connor Middle School Style). Based on the popular TV show, the kids raced through six stops, conquered various roadblocks and followed many clues around Connor Middle School for prizes and loads of fun. Comedy Night on Saturday, September 12th was a huge success! About 15 young people and adults turned out and almost all took the courage to perform a short comedy skit. Headliner, Josh Smith, a professional comedian came out to show us how it’s done and to judge the acts. Prizes were given out for funniest act, most courageous, and most original. Congratulations to Chris and Kyle Meyer (funniest), Dan Stinson (most courageous), and Paul Nufer (most original). We all had an amazing time!! |

The Live, Laugh, Love girls only Slumber party was a huge success. We had about 10 ladies join us for the event. We started the night off with a name game, then moved on to our main event; tie dying tank tops. We also made cookies, a few of us made scrap books, while others colored. We also watched the Fox and the Hound. What a great movie!! Thanks to Live, Laugh, Love! And many thanks to all of the ladies involved in making the slumber party a memorable one. |
